This style is known as the "Stewart" insulator, and was pictured on the cover of the 1986 edition of the Milholland insulator price guide. Based on the fact that shards of this clawed "no tie" spool style have been dug from the Hemingray Dump, and its ice blue color would clearly indicate this was a Hemingray product. It is not currently assigned a CD number. This style is also unusual in that it has two nail holes, one on either side of the insulator. Illustrations of this insulator has appeared in catalogs, so there are likely more specimens out there. It's also interesting to note that the catalog mentions two different sizes of the spool: one larger size to accommodate №6 wire, and a second smaller style to accommodate wire up to №10. This is likely the larger size of the two.
