Insulator Overview

This floor tube measures 3" long with a 3/4" bore. So far, this is the only floor tube design that did not have a style number; it only appeared in catalogs dating from 1893, 1902 and 1904, apparently before they used style numbers to differentiate their different floor tube styles. I have not seen one yet so I don't know for certain what it looks like, but it likely has an oct (8-sided) head and threads on the outside of the body to act as a screw during installation.
