Insulator Overview

This uncommon style is nicknamed the "Santa Ana" because of a similar version produced by the California Glass Insulator Co. which is embossed "Santa Ana." These were primarily used in California, and was one of Hemingray's earlier high voltage power pieces. Unlike most of Hemingray's other power pieces, this has no style number. It has an extended inner skirt and is known to come in a couple of different heights. Due to the design, these are commonly found with damage to the outer skirt and drip points.
