CD Consolidated Design This is a unique number given to each distinct insulator design known to the collecting hobby.	Primary Embossing The Primary Embossing is always found on the front of the insulator and usually identifies either the manufacturer (such as "Hemingray") or the company that the insulator was made for (such as "AM.TEL.&TEL.CO.") Insulators with No Name or No Embossing are denoted as such.	EIN Embossing Index Number A unique number is assigned to each distinct embossing for a CD. It is normally shown in brackets, e.g. [050].	Embossing (F-Skirt) Front of insulator (R-Skirt) Rear of insulator "/" New line of embossing	BaseThe base is the bottom of the insulator.
