This is a dead-end spool style produced by Hemingray. The earlier versions were embossed with "Nº109" and are less common. I was the first to come across the embossing at the Long Beach National show in 1996.
Popular dead-end style spool made by Hemingray in a beautiful orange amber color. Condition is fair, with a thumbnail-size chip on the outer skirt and one patch of flaking above the wire groove. Even has a couple of neat milk swirls inside. Priced on low end of book value.
