Hemingray Insulator Profile: CD 243  
The Hemingray No.88 is the largest and rarest of a series of three power insulators produced by Hemingray in the 1920's. Other insulators in the series: No.66 (CD 242) and No.23 (CD 241). It was numbered "88" due to its voltage rating, 8800-15000 volts.
